Mark sensed a need to offer a model that was both lighter in weight and easier to transport. These desires dictated a bolt-on neck design, as the traditional stick through the body would not work on the thinline. The bolt-on neck worked so well, that the full bodied guitars are now being built this way. It is stronger with less weight, and transmits sound better to the body than the traditional method of attaching the neck to a metal bodied guitar. |
